What is Handicap Football Betting? Handicap football betting involves making the perceived difference in quality between the two teams redundant in terms of a bet. Essentially, it levels out the playing field when there is an overwhelming favourite in a football match. In terms of football, this means giving one team a head start in a match. There are two forms of handicap betting available for football betting and a lot of punters may only be aware of the one. The regular handicap betting is where a bettor will decide whether or not a team will overcome a goal disadvantage to start the game, or alternatively, decide whether a team can hold on to a goal advantage given to them at the start of a game.
What is Asian Handicap in Football Betting
Asian Handicap is a modern and very popular form of betting on football matches that originated in Indonesia. The system became popular at the beginning of the 21st century and now is one of the most used in the betting area. Handicaps are awards for one of the teams by artificial lead and fixed odds before kick-off. Asian handicap eliminates the draw outcome from traditional 1X2 and reduces the outcomes from 3 to 2 possibilities. That means you have theoretically around 50% chance to win in every couple of Asian handicap options. But in the practice, the chance to win is very different because it depends on the strength and the quality of the teams and on your own betting choice (favorite or underdog). This system is very rich in selections because you can bet on even quarter-goals, half-goals or goals for or against one of the teams. That makes it unique and very searched in the betting sites. We will show you how exactly to use the Asian handicap with all the lines. You can earn money even from the losing team. Just see how.
Asian Handicap 0.0
This is an option quite similar to draw no bet. Asian handicap 0.0 and draw no bet works the same way but the only difference is between the odds given by the bookmaker. We cannot explain why the bookmaker provides the same bet with different odds but we advice you to use always the bigger odd for this option. In this Asian handicap Line, you bet on the team that you believe will win and you have the chance to bring back your money if the final result is drawn. You lose if your team loses.
Example:
Event: Manchester United – Manchester City
Your bet: Manchester City 0.0 AH
Case 1: Win for Manchester City Bet result: WIN
Case 2: Draw Bet result: STAKE REFUND
Case 3: Win for Manchester United Bet result: LOSS
